Today starts Memorial
Day Weekend. I’m going out of town for a couple of days, so this is my
Memorial Day blog. I know I usually try to find funny stuff, but I’m an
Army Brat and Memorial Day is an important holiday to me, so here’s some
stuff about this day that I hope you’ll enjoy. And, just so you know, I’m a
ginormous Patriot, so you can expect one of these on Independence Day as
well!
Quotes for Memorial Day

them, glory and danger alike, and yet notwithstanding, go out to meet it.”

oneself.”
~Joseph Campbell
“And each man stands with his face in the light of his own drawn sword.
Ready to do what a hero can.”

that we make ungrudgingly for the cause of war.
There is no task that is more important or closer to my heart.”
~Albert Einstein
“It doesn't take a hero to order men into battle.
It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.”

And their names are engraven on honor's bright crest."

those heroes dare
To die, and leave their children free,
Bid Time and Nature gently spare
The shaft we raise to them and thee."

Happy Memorial Day
Just one last
thing before I go. Enjoy your three-day weekend, but remember why you have
this weekend to enjoy. And next time you see a soldier, say Thank You.
