I’ve decided to take the weekends off, because it’s
hard work sitting on my butt all day finding stuff for you to enjoy. I have
games to play, and movies to watch, junk food to eat… but I digress. The
point I’m making here is that you will no longer get anything on Saturday
and Sunday, but you will get a little extra something special on Friday to
help you make it through the weekend!!
Now, on to the
topic at hand. First of all, I apologize for being so late today. The baby
is teething, and if you have kids, you know what that’s like. We didn’t
sleep much last night, and it’s been a pretty rough morning, BUT, you get to
reap the benefits of my pain! Today’s post is all about TEETH!!
The Dentist!
I do a lot of community theater, and one of my first
starring roles was Audrey in “Little Shop of Horrors”, but before that, one
of my favorite movies was “Little Shop of Horrors” starring Rick Moranis,
Ellen Green, and of course, Steve Martin as the Dentist. I wish I had video
of our performance, because my friend Matt did better than Mr. Martin, I
think, but alas, you will have to live with the second best performance I
could find.

Another great moment in that movie, possibly the
best, is a little snippet with Bill Murray as a masochistic patient. By the
way, this scene is not in the play, but was in the original non-musical
movie from 1960. Bill Murray’s character, Arthur Denton, was known as
Wilbur Force and played by none other than Jack Nicholson!

The Tooth Fairy
And
everyone thinks the Tooth Fairy is a nice, pretty female fairy. HA!
Here is
another interesting, albeit odd, explanation for the Tooth Fairy.
And, no, I’m not talking
about dentures. I’m talking about those silly false teeth you put over your
own when you need to make people laugh, or you need to fool a forensic
scientist. What? I’m just sayin’…
And they are bound to make anyone’s mouth the
center of attention.
Teething
I found this cute (and probably cold) little baby
when I was looking for other mom’s stories about teething problems. I found
this blog about a parent’s quest to find the best teething remedy.
