Admittedly, I am
not a huge Star Wars fan. I have seen all the movies, but I can’t say I
paid a lot of attention to them, but
SWG
is one of Hubby’s favorite games and he didn’t play often because I didn’t
play and he likes to do things together. Well, he suckered me into creating
a character, and now I’m hooked! May the Force be with you!

Star Wars Facts
If you’ve been a
loyal reader of Cheesy Goodness since the beginning, you know that I LOVE me
some
Neatorama! They have a whole slew of little known Star Wars
facts (at least, little known to me). Here’s a sample factoid:
“The spaceship
battles were inspired by World War II films. Before filming the special
effect began, Lucas watched dozens of war movies like Battle of
Britain and
The Bridges of Toko-Ri,
taping his favorite air battle scenes as he went along. Later he edited them
down to a 10-minute black-and-white film, and gave it to the special effects
team - which reshot the scenes using X-wing and T.I.E. fighter models.”
Oh, the Cheesy
Goodness that was 1977. I found the ORIGINAL trailer for the first movie
(which is actually the fourth movie …don’t get me started on the whole
“prequel” thing. Make the damn movies in order! But anyway…). If you are
older than me, maybe this will bring back a few memories!
The Saga Begins
I like Weird Al. He makes me smile. His songs, by
definition, are the epitome of Cheesy Goodness. I can’t give you the
original, but I can give you a link to it.
Watch that one first, so you have a point of
reference, then watch this one…
The Saga Begins – Lego Music Video
…And this one.
The Saga Begins - Sped up
Ewan McGregor as Obi Wan Kenobi
Ok, I admit it. I have a HUGE crush on Ewan McGregor
and part of the reason I have no idea what went on in Episodes I, II and III
is because I was too busy staring at Ewan McGregor and listening to his sexy
voice. Oh yeah, my husband thinks it was an excellent casting decision
because of his resemblance to Sir Alec Guinness, and I agree. It was an
inspired casting choice… because Ewan McGregor is HOT!! Liam Neeson (Qui-Gon
Jinn), Samuel L. Jackson (Mace Windu) and Hayden Christensen (Anakin
Skywalker) are also shown, as they too fall into the HOT category!
